In late August, Taseko and Gibraltar employees joined families, local leaders, as well as the Women’s 联系 Society and Kidcare Early Learning Centre to celebrate the grand opening of the second Kidcare daycare facility in Williams Lake, British Columbia.

The celebration was full of energy, with music, arts and crafts, a rainbow tunnel, cookies, a community barbecue, and the unveiling of new “mining toys” for the daycare’s sandboxes – marking the transformation of a former high school shop class into a vibrant childcare space.

The opening of the facility, operated by Women’s 联系 Society, comes after Taseko捐赠了5万美元，以支持该地区扩大托儿服务. 这笔捐款帮助开设了日托所，培训了新员工，并为日托所配备了家具、工艺品和玩具。

With demand for childcare spaces continuing to rise across the Cariboo, the support from Taseko is an investment in the community’s future that will improve access to licensed childcare for families in the region. 新的Kidcare地点现在宝博体育提供119个托儿场所。 Taseko is proud to support the Women’s 联系 Society and Kidcare in expanding their services.
